Hyperion is worth buying in MFF and if upgrading him to Tier 2 is necessary.

Hyperion T2 can clear Alliance Battle meteor day without the need for Loki’s summons, which is the usual method that all players currently use in the mode.

Hyperion may not be as good as Thanos, but given how long it takes to upgrade Thanos he is still very good. Hopefully this video will help you decide if it really is worth spending money on him since he is locked away as a paywall character similar to Carnage.
